The National Commission on Research, Science, and Technology (NCRST) in Namibia is a governmental agency responsiblefor coordinating, promoting, and regulating research, science, and technology to foster national development. Its mandate includes supporting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiatives, innovation, and scientific research to boost the country’s socio-economic progress. The NCRST actively collaborates with local and international institutions, funds various research projects, and promotes linkages to enhance Namibia's participation in global scienceand technology platforms. The NCRST in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher, Education, Technology, and Innovation(MHETI), embarked on the process of developing a National Space Science Policy (NSSTP) as well as the Space Science andTechnology Strategy in which all space related activities are streamlined inclusively. The NSSTP was launched on 5 June2021.
