The Angolan National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) is responsible for advancing Angola's presence in space through various initiatives, including space and ground infrastructure development, human capacity building, and the promotion of peaceful space exploration. One of its key missions is to develop Angola's space industry while fostering international cooperation and knowledge transfer. GGPEN manages and operates satellite projects like AngoSat-1, which waslaunched in 2017 but became defunct, and its replacement AngoSat-2. In addition to satellite operations, GGPEN also leads programs that contribute to critical sectors like weather forecasting, territorial planning, and resource management,which are vital for Angola's development.

Mission Statement: To promote the peaceful use of cosmic space, as well as conducting strategic studies aimed at establishing cooperation agreements with technical and scientific institutions in the space field, ensuring the creation of national technological and human competences and the transfer of technology and know-how within the framework of the National Space Programme.
